Who are you?

“I am - how shall I describe it - a sort of vagabond of space. I am the point of contact between eternity and time. You see, I am - or I was until I crossed your threshold - Death.”

Why do you know so much about death?

Research. Death is truly my passion and I want to learn as much as possible about all things related to death.

Why do you have such an obsession with death? What about death intrigues you?

Other than life itself, death is the most intriguing of all mysteries. Anything even remotely related to death interests me: the biological aspects of death and decay, death in culture, death worship & death rituals, near-death experiences, the afterlife, etc.

So much about death interests me; but I suppose the mystery would be what I find the most intriguing. I often imagine how it would feel to die, and to be dead.

Why continue to live if your fascination with death runs so deeply? Have you ever contemplated suicide?

If I were dead I wouldn’t be able to enjoy my fascination with death.

I want to die by my own hands, invoking Death in ritual suicide. Hanging, suspended amidst the shadows of Thanatos; my gasping breath an incantation to the void, as my body writhes, convulsing ecstasy, in the throes of death. I want to feel my pulse weaken as I’m beckoned further into the darkness, transcending corporeality to reign amongst the bones of the dead.

Are you religious? What are your views on the afterlife?

I’m not exactly religious; however, I am interested in the occult, Death worship, and necromancy.

I don’t believe in any kind of afterlife, unless the nothingness of death could be considered as such. All of our human senses will vanish in death as our bodies decay, so I find it difficult to imagine what life after death might consist of because of my human perspective. I look forward to the nothingness of death, but I would like to be aware of the dying process despite that it would ultimately become irrelevant once I’ve died.

How do you feel about necrophilia?

“Every man to his own tastes. Mine is for corpses.” - Henri Blot

Why did you choose to make a tumblr about death?

Death is my passion and main interest, hence the theme of my blog.

Where do you find all of the pictures you post?

I find them all from different sources. I’ve got quite a collection of corpse photos already stored on my hard drive from various sources, as well as old danse macabre prints. Sometimes I’ll see something in one of my books and look for it online. deviantART is also a fantastic website for discovering art. I reblog quite a bit as well.

Would you be able to direct me to some online places to purchase bones, skulls or anything generally morbid, fascinating and related to death?

Depending on what you are looking for, I would first suggest checking out Amazon, eBay and Etsy as you can usually get better deals from individual sellers. I’ve bought plenty of morbid curiosities like vintage embalming tools and human bones from eBay sellers for really great prices.
